The following is the sample code from that presentation, as well as the PowerPoint and PDF of the June 3, 2010 presentation (a slightly modified version of the April 21, 2010 presentation at CFObjective).

This code shows a lightweight blog application written three ways:

1) "Old School" (Procedurally)
2) "Typical OO" (using MachII and ColdSpring) - Code is not yet completed and will not run.
3) "Simpler OO" (using LightFront 0.4.5 - http://lightfront.riaforge.org/)

ColdFusion 9+ with cfbookclub datasource installed. It may run on CF8 but that has not been tested.
